The Other Side of the Icon World

Leaving this journal. You can find my stuff at pornographics. Not deleting this, but not updating anymore. You can defriend this if you want.

This is the graphical equivalent of finding everything in the cabinets and making a big pot of STEW with it. Basically, I just raided My Documents and my brush files and made an experimental set of whatever I found. :) I also played around with the Exclusion mode. Can't say as I like it, but whatev. They are all of Johnny Depp. This is nothing new.

:D! I just saw The Village last night and it was AMAZING. Now that I've finally come to terms with the ending, I can accept it for what is was and make icons! These are the mix of dark and colorful, sort of like the movie.

All right, I'd seen this type of icon EVERYWHERE and I had always wondered how to do it. So I fired up Photoshop and try several different tricks to try and execute it, and this seemed the easiest and quickest way to do it. Please note that other people may do it differently. This is MY way of doing it. So please don't tell me there is an easier way, because this is the way I'm most comfortable with. I shall now teach it to you.

All right, kiddos, it time again for me to post icons! I've been on about a four-month hiatus because I realized suddenly I sucked, and had to teach myself not to. So that's what I've been up to; teaching myself not to suck so hard. Between doing my big Sleepy Hollow set and my big Edward Scissorhands set, I played around in Photoshop, messing around with with different styles and whatever. This is the fruits of those experiements. (There is actually A LOT more, about twelve more, but I didn't like them.)

Alright, my home monkeys! I have finally caved and made a PotC set. Okay, it wasn't me caving. I've been working on these since Valentine's Day, perfecting them and here they are! I made at least 30, but I'm only showing 19. I know it is just Norrington, Elizabeth, Jack and Will, but I shall make some Barbossa and crew icons next. Most of my bases came from here, or I made them myself with caps from PotC Fandom.com. Enjoy! B)
